Maximum Temperature

This chart has a very good correlation. As this data was collected in the month of January, it is winter in the Northern Hemisphere. This is clearly shown in the plot as most cities in the north have much lower temperatures than those in the southern hemisphere. Also as is expected, the points around the equator show warm temperatures with temperature dropping off as the latitude increases toward both the North and South Poles.
